BOSTON — On June 10th, 2022, Dellbrook|JKS joined Greater Boston’s Habitat for Humanity to assist in the construction of an affordable housing duplex for two families.

Ten team members, from both office and field positions, spent the day completing various tasks to further the building’s progress. These Dellbrook|JKS employees accomplished fire-proof caulking, stair building, general site maintenance, and more, all over the course of eight hours. Those in attendance included Thomas Monagle, Kevin Smith, Ryan Cardoos, Jim Kennedy, Kara Champagne, Steve Marshall, Abby Davis, Emma Barrett, Matt DiPlacido, and Steve LaBerge.

“We’re always grateful for the ability to volunteer as a team, especially when working in Boston. This community is home to so many of our projects, which makes opportunities like this even more rewarding” said Dellbrook|JKS Project Development Manager and Volunteer Coordinator, Kara Champagne. “We’re proud to support this neighborhood and the individuals in it, plus it feels great to make a difference locally. Shout out to Cathy Kurczak, the Construction Site Supervisor, and her amazing teammates, Sam and Monica, and thanks to Boston Habitat President & CEO James Kostaras, for making a special visit to our site.”

Over the years, Dellbrook|JKS, and Habitat for Humanity have enjoyed several collaborations. Last month, members and allies of the Dellbrook|JKS Women’s Collaborative (DWC) assisted Metro West/Greater Worcester in constructing a playhouse for a U.S. Veteran’s family. Also contributing to the relationship between both organizations, Dellbrook|JKS President & CEO, Mike Fish has served on the board of Greater Boston Habitat for Humanity for five and a half years.
