Housing Assistance Corporation
Cornerstone Hyannis
The 268 Stevens Street project is a new construction 54,855 SF, affordable homeownership development located in the heart of downtown Hyannis. Led by the Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC), the project delivers a total of 50 residential condominium units within a single three-story wood-framed building. Of the 50 units, 46 are designated as affordable middle-income homeownership housing with units available for households earning up to 100% and 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI), promoting long-term housing stability and ownership opportunities for working families. The remaining 4 units will be offered at market rate, contributing to a mixed-income community that supports economic diversity in the downtown area.
The scope includes full site improvements such as grading, drainage, paving, hardscaping, and landscaping to enhance the pedestrian experience and integrate the project into the surrounding neighborhood. Building systems include comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work, designed to meet current code standards and ensure long-term energy efficiency and occupant safety. The building is designed with durable materials and modern finishes, and will offer amenities such as on-site parking, bike storage, and shared green space.
