Dellbrook One Way, a joint venture comprised of Dellbrook|JKS and One Way Development served as the construction team for the Benjamin Franklin Cummings Institute of Technology's (FCT) new campus development. The new campus, located in Roxbury’s Nubian Square, consists of a three-story, 68,000 SF building was purposefully designed to support Franklin Cummings Tech’s technical and trade programs.
Site prep included the demolition of a long vacant warehouse, making way for state-of-the-art academic building. The new structure houses classrooms, labs, workshops, and offices for faculty and staff. On the first floor, an Engineering Technology Robotics Lab and common areas are visible through window walls, allowing for further integration with the local community. Other specialty labs include an Optical Shop, and a fully operational Automotive Garage, where the public can have their vehicles serviced by students. The project also features a roof-top outdoor learning lab, where students, allowing students to observe the school’s own HVAC systems, photovoltaic panels and roof-mounted wind turbines in action.
