The Sandwich Community Health Center is a new 19,694-square-foot, 2-story, outpatient facility currently under construction for Community Health Center of Cape Cod, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The building includes a 6,564-square-foot basement dedicated to mechanical, electrical, and storage functions. The building is a wood-framed, slab-on-grade structure with a gable roof, as is being constructed to support long-term operational efficiency and service expansion.

The main level is organized into distinct public, clinical, and staff zones to enhance privacy, streamline workflow, and support patient-centered care. The building envelope incorporates fiber cement siding, asphalt roofing, and energy-efficient windows. Site improvements include a new parking area, stormwater management infrastructure, and landscaping. The basement is being outfitted to house critical building systems and accommodate long-term storage needs. Upon completion, the facility will offer comprehensive outpatient services including medical exam rooms, dental operatories, behavioral health consultation spaces, and administrative offices—expanding access to care for residents of the Upper Cape region.
