The Pediatric Rehab Outpatient project consisted of a fast-track renovation of a 5,400 SF space to create a state-of-the-art pediatric rehabilitation outpatient clinic for Southcoast Health. The project scope included sitework and construction of 11 exam rooms, a lobby, three physical and occupational therapy rooms, a reception area, a kitchen and break room, a playground, and support spaces. In the fall of 2023, Southcoast learned that they needed to vacate their leased location. Southcoast acted immediately and contracted with Dellbrook | JKS and Medcom Architectural Group to ensure services could continue for families without interruption.

Finding a new space locally was imperative to the community to ensure families wouldn't have to travel to Providence or Boston for care. The team worked diligently from early December of 2023 to late March, to demo the existing building to the studs, reinforce structure and concrete, and complete construction in 4 months. Southcoast’s new facility is staffed with 34 professional therapists, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists, to deliver services to families.
