The VITA Jamaica Plain project is a 168,951 SF mixed use residential building in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood. The 82 unit building is wood framed construction over 2 levels of steel podium, parking for 84 cars and 24,000 SF of retail space. The site previously contained multiple abandoned concrete and metal buildings which were demolished. The building, located on a tight site on a prominent corner of Washington Street, has a brick retail base of glass storefront and a facade of corrugated metal siding and metal panels. The project also included significant site improvements including, sidewalks, roadway layout upgrades and utility infrastructure upgrades.
